I offer a whole host of services as they relate to the birth of your family. They are listed below. - Doula Care My services include 1-2 prenatal visits in order to get to know you and your wishes more fully. In these visits I can assist you with your birth plan, nutrition, or other areas of concern. I will also serve you at your birth with my skilled pain management techniques, comfort measures, and other forms of support. I will also take pictures to preserve your memories of the day, and will craft them into a beautiful photo montage set to music, telling the story of your birth, and preserving the easily-forgotten moments for a lifetime. After-care includes one postpartum visit, and email and phone support as needed. This doula is available for $750*.
- Childbirth Education I offer childbirth education services in a 12 week series that is slanted toward those who want to give birth naturally, but is not exclusive to un-medicated or uncomplicated births. It is based in the Bradley Method, but includes much of my delivery room experience, and borrows a bit from everything I've ready, learned, and seen. I strive to serve all women and all families, and to this end seek to provide the most current, unbiased, and practical information possible. *For those people who would choose to purchase both the childbirth classes and the doula care package,a $100 discount will be given.
- I am a certified La Leche League Leader and am right now unassigned, but can help out with any group in IL. I have been trained and certified to help new and seasoned mothers troubleshoot common problems, to provide mothers from all walks of life unwavering support, and to educate the community on the benefits of breastfeeding. I fully support LLL in all it's work to support and educate mothers in their efforts to nurse their children, and highly recommend expecting and nursing mothers go to meetings.
